OSI Marketing Strategy & Instructions
"Do not wait; the time will never be "just right." Start where you stand, and work with whatever tools you may have at your command, and better tools will be found as you go along." Napoleon Hill
You will use Safelists to promote your OSI System and send your messages. The reason we use Safelists to promote are system is as follows:
1. Email marketing is the most effective form of promotion on the Internet.
2. Safelists comply with all CAN/SPAM rules and regulations because and are double opt in which means that members agree to accept your messages.
3. The Safelists that we use all offer FREE memberships so it doesn't cost you anything to advertise.
4. Safelists are relatively easy to use and don't require a lot of technical or computer skills.
NOTE: It is NOT mandatory that you use Safelists for your promotions, it is only a suggestion as a free and less time consuming advertising method. You can use any advertising option that you wish and can combine various advertising methods. If you don't feel comfortable with Safelists, use another method to advertise your system. You may not however, use deceptive advertising, spam or use someones name other than your own in your messages. If caught violating these rules, your OSI account will be terminated immediately.
Setting Up Your Marketing Strategy
You will need to join each Safelist before you can send out your message. You will also need a "contact" email box and a "list" email box. This is because you will receive hundreds of emails from list other members.
You use the contact email address so the list owner can contact you and you use the list email address for the other list members to send you their messages. You list email should be one that you can easily delete all the emails. NEVER use you main email address for your list.
Every Safelist that you join will require you to verify at least one of your email addresses. In most cases both of your email addresses before you can send your messages. This verification process is your way of agreeing to receive messages for the Safelists. It's called opting in, or double opting.
Once you sign up for a Safelist, you will never have to sign up again. All you'll do is login and send your messages.
You will need to join each list before you can send out your message. To make it easier, I have broken down the plan into 5 daily sessions so it won't be too hard or time consuming.
Joining and verifying your Safelists will be the most time consuming thing you do, but you will only have to set up each Safelist one time. So when you begin promoting your system, it will only take you a couple of minutes to send your messages each day.
In most cases, you cannot send messages on consecutive days as a free Safelist member. So it's important that you rotate your messages each week. I have set up the plan so you can start and send messages to 8 or more different Safelists on any day of the week.
For instance; If you use day one through day five this week, then start over again next week with day one. That way you'll know that you will be allowed to send your message again.
There is varying opinion on what days are and aren't the most responsive, so I'll leave that up to your best judgment. The biggest response days in my experience have been Monday through Friday evenings and Saturday mornings. From Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday, the response rates drop off. They do, however, pick up on Sunday evenings too. Holiday weekends in the U.S. usually get huge responses.
Once you're a member of all the Safelists, it's just a matter of logging in, copy & pasting (some Safelists even save your messages so this step can be avoided) your message and headline and pressing a button. This process takes no more than 1 minute per Safelist, so you should be able to easily do a nights promotions in 10 to 20 minutes.
You will also need a "contact" mail box and a "list" email box. This is because you will receive hundreds of emails from other list members. You use the contact email address so the list owner can contact you (if needed) and you use the list email address for the other list members to send you their messages. Your list email should be one that can take a lot of messages without bouncing them and makes it easy to delete all the emails. NEVER use you main POP (main) email address for your list email address.
If you would like an email address that can take a lot of email messages that can easily be deleted, just click on the link below and sign up for a Gmail account. Gmail is Google's version of email. It's free and perfect to use for Safelists because it can handle up to 1 million messages that can be deleted with the click of a few buttons. You can also sign up for multiple gmail accounts.
Deleting Messages in Gmail
You will receive a lot of messages (to your list email box) from other Safelist members as a condition of being a Safelist member. You DO NOT have to read these messages unless it's a credit only Safelist that requires to to read the emails to receive mailing credits. It is very easy to delete your messages from your Gmail account. Here's how...
1. Click on the "All" button you see above the messages in your inbox. That will check all the
messages on the first page.
Select: All, None, Read, Unread, Starred, Unstarred
2. When you click All, another link will appear like the one below.
All 100 conversations on this page are selected. Select all 608 conversations in Inbox
3. Click that new link that says Select all 608 conversations in Inbox
4. Click the Delete" button and a box will pop up that says
"This action will affect all 1300 conversations in Inbox. Are you sure you want to continue?"
Click the OK button.
That will delete all the messages.
You can follow the same procedure to empty all of your folders. Empty your trash folder once a month or so.
Joining Safelists
Click on the Safelist links provided in the daily plan and join the eight Safelists that are listed for free on consecutive days. Go back to your email boxes and validate both email boxes as soon as you join a Safelist. Then login to the Safelist's back office and find the link to send out your message. You will only have to join each Safelist one time. After that it's just a matter of sending out your messages.
It would be wise for you to copy and paste your pre-written messages to a text editor like Microsoft Office, or on your word pad. If you don't have a text editor and can't afford the high cost of one, you can download a free text editor that is every bit a good as MS Office by clicking here.
ALWAYS replace your name and URL in the proper areas before sending your messages. It is important to use your full name and not just your first name or a nickname at the end of your message. This lends credibility and professionalism to your message. This is your business, don't make it look amateurish.
I also recommend using a link tracker and cloaker so you can see which one of your messages, and Safelists are the most responsive. Then you can eliminate the least responsive headlines, messages and Safelists as you promote.
NPN includes a link tracker in it's tools, but you have to join NPN before you can use it. Here's an excellent link tracker and cloaker you can get for free and use now.
DO NOT use the HTML mode when sending your letters. Always use TEXT. HTML will format your letters into one big paragraph and in many cases won't get through the spam filters. You also want to make sure that the lines in your sentences are no longer than 55 characters and that you use as many paragraphs as possible to break up the message. This makes it easier to read and tends to get more click through response. The pre-written letters are formatted properly for you, so all you have to do is to copy, paste and insert your URL and name.
You can copy the headline and message you want to use from your text editor, paste them into the Safelist composition area, and press the send button. That will blast your ad to the members in that particular Safelist. Repeat this for all 8 Safelists each day and that's it! It should take you no longer than 20 minutes, depending on your connection speed.
After you complete 5 days of promoting, start over with day one again. If you would like, you can use the message located at the bottom of each page and alternate it every other week as well. Or, you can alternate short messages any way you would like. You have many options to promote your OSI System.
I have also included the Safelist Directory and the link to Traffic Hoopla on the "Bonus Safelist" page. The Safelist Directory has over 4,500 Safelists that you can join for free all in one location. Traffic Hoopla rates the top (most responsive) 20 Safelists on their website and Leadpage Safe Rankings rates 50 of the top Safelists.
One important thing I want to emphasize is... you cannot make money unless you join the core-business in the system (New Plan Network) and feed your referrals into NPN behind you. Members in your downline can join NPN at any time and may even "leapfrog" over you, which is their right. So the sooner you join NPN, the sooner you will be in a position to begin earning commissions.
